The Classics: Lasombra Nocturn

What's happening, Metuselahs?

Today we take a look on the probably the tier1 deck of the clan Lasombra, a powerbleed deck supported by the ally Nocturn.
In general terms, we pretend to gain momentum with superior governs and influencing the most number of vampires, and then overwhelm your prey with dominate bleeds.

>> Tournament Winning Decks

- Nocturne - by Kalle Cederström - August 2007 the twd with the most attendance of players, playing a huge deck (90 cards) , Black Hand tech and a big number of nocturns.
- Nocturns Twins - by Carlos Eduardo Ganso - December 2008 this one uses the nocturns with the card Shadow Twin
- Lasombra Nocturna - by Sergio Gracia - November 2009 a deck reduced to the minimun cards and well-buildt, to be quick and deadly

>> Mainstays of the Deck

- Nocturn: the ally that gives name to the deck, you can either block with him all the rushes that will try to reach our vampires, or bleed your prey. I'ts incredibly strong that it moves to the ready region when recruited and the fact you can untap after recruiting it. With Perfectionist, the first nocturn is free, and combined with the Path, even the second!

- Jake Washington: our best way to refill our vamps. Playing dominate bleeds and obtenebration will get our minions dry extremely fast, even though you can save some blood with the Path of Night. This is the best drink ;)

- Shroud of Absence: thanks to its reprint in HttB, they are seen more nowadays, and it's the best stealth card a Lasombra can reach, with a huge effect at superior.

- Dreams of the Sphynx: this card is always good in most decks, but in a bleed/powerbleed one it's vital, if you get your hand jammed and you don't have the nocturns in time to stop rushes that would ruin your VP or dominate cards to finish your prey or putting down blood on the uncontrolled, our speed would be reduced and the metuselahs will have a chance to prepare for our movements.

After playing with my Lasombra Nocturn deck, I see important to pack at least one Secure Haven, and DI's to make at least your first vampire survive until you can influence more, and Forced Awakenings with the OtQV to get a vampire dry sooner in order to use the Jake Washington and have it filled in my next minion phase.
